Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo has protested his innocence after testifying in court against charges of evading €14.7 million (£13m) in taxes.
The 32-year-old Portuguese, who was in the Pozuelo de Alarcon court for about 90 minutes, declined to speak to reporters afterwards, but he released a statement through his agency Gestifute.
"The Spanish tax authorities know my income in detail, because we have given it to them. I have never hidden anything in my declarations, nor have I had the smallest intention of evading taxes," Ronaldo said.

Alexandre Lacazette is in London ahead of a club-record move to the Premier League, and he is set to be confirmed as an Arsenal player in the next 48 hours.
The Frenchman was due to undergo his Gunners medical at their London Colney training ground on Tuesday prior to finalising a £44million switch from Lyon.
The transfer fee eclipses the £42.5m spent by Arsenal on Mesut Ozil in 2013.

Alvaro Morata representatives meet Real Madrid to discuss Man United target's future

Representatives for Alvaro Morata met with Real Madrid on Monday morning to discuss the striker's future.
Manchester United want to sign the Spanish international to replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic and the player is understood to be keen on a move to the Premier League.
Morata's agent, Juanma Lopez, and his father, Alfonso Morata, were at the Bernabeu for a 50-minute meeting with Real about the 24-year-old, who has been holidaying in Ibiza and Sardinia after marrying model Alice Campello in Venice last month.
